Detsky Mir says sales rise 32.2% to 41.9 bln rbl in Apr–Jun

MOSCOW, Jul 15 (PRIME) -- The gross merchandise value (GMV) of Russia’s largest children goods retailer Detsky Mir grew 32.2% on the year to 41.9 billion rubles in April–June, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The GMV includes sales of goods and services in the company’s retail stores, as well as sales through the website of the company and its mobile app.

Total online sales increased 20% on the year to 11.7 billion rubles in the period.

The total number of the company’s stores grew 9.3% on the year to 929 stores in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, with the combined selling space rising 8.4% to 922,000 square meters, the company said.
